Amazon Kindle Direct Publishing sounds like a platform to sell your books but it is way more than that. It’s a place where you can sell notebooks, journals, planners, coloring books, activity books, etc. And any in any niche you can think of like animals, cooking, anime, vacation, etc.

It’s a well-known fact that Amazon is the world’s largest marketplace with millions of visits and checkouts every single day. But at the same time, their programs are not so easy to get into. You’ll either need to pay a fee, for example, Amazon FBA or you’ll need to get accepted for example Merch by Amazon or Amazon Mechanical Turk (been rejected 5 times already *sobs* jk, I’m okay). It’s Amazon they don’t just let anyone in.

But this where KDP jumps in. It’s free and literally, anyone can join. And it’s the best place for writers, graphic designers, and content creators in general to sell their skills. The cherry on top is that your work will be directly market by Amazon on all of its marketplaces (US, CA, UK, AU, DE, FR, ES, IT, JP).

Any product on KDP requires 3 things

  1. Cover
  2. Interior
  3. ISBN

Let get the last one out of the way. KDP allows you to assign free ISBN to your product.

Covers sound like a work of hours but it’s not. If you have your niche finalized you can easily create a cover in less than an hour. And free using www. canva.com.

Interiors can be created for free or you can download already made interiors using https://bookbolt.io/interior-wizard/.

The particle of what I’ve been talking about can easily be found on Youtube. Just write ‘How to create KDP low content book for free’. My tutorial recommendations.

KDP is a place for anybody to start a passive income source.

For my fellow Graphic Designers

Think of KDP as Print-on-demand for notebooks and journals. I’m sure you have stacked up on good designs. And if not you can easily create them. The work lies in setting the right dimensions for the cover. Just watch the tutorials above for a complete walk-through.

For my fellow Content Writers

If you have a book or multiple short stories or poems, combine them and create your book. If not whenever you do you have a free platform to sell your book to a wide market. And you can create the cover using the above links.

For fellow content creators in general

KDP is not all about creating just books and empty notebooks. You can create all sorts of paper stationery. Recipe journals, Traveling planner, To-do diary, Children activity book, and whatnot. The only limit is your imagination. -Hero, Big Hero6

KDP is an amazing passive income business model. I personally think it’s a frickin steal. It’s not just the platform that is free to join. There are so many free tools out there to create the product which is just amazing. I think it’s one of those platforms which everyone should join. Because who knows an hour or 2 every day today could be coming back as hundred and thousands of dollars.

Rules of Passive Business models are simple

  • Consistency
  • Patience
  • Quality
